In August of this year I started working as an assistant language teacher in Japan. My job is to collaborate with a partner English teacher to best present the required learning material. I work at four schools and I teach a wide range of ages. Every day I get up at six am, eat breakfast, get dressed, and pack my bags. I usually leave the house at six thirty am and walk to the closest train station. From the station depending on the day, I take either a bus or a train to get to school. At about seven thirty am I arrive at school and greet the teachers and the principal. On most days classes start at eight fifty-five am so until then I talk with my partner teachers and make plans for the day. My schedule is always changing so on some days I may be busy all day, and on other days I may have a few blocks free. During my free blocks, I will spend my time creating material for future classes or reviewing my lesson plans. Once the day I over I say goodbye to the teachers and make my way home. In the evening, I will pack my bags with the textbooks, lesson plans, and other materials I need the next day.
